New jobs, friends, and printing progress!

November and December have been crazy busy so I never posted something. This might be a longer one to make up for that.

I finished my sweater! I’m so happy with how it turned out, and I desperately want another knitting project. My dear friend and knitting buddy, Rachel Schoeny, took these lovely photos for me.

Here’s a little peak at some of the tiny accordian books I made for my November paid subscribers and some good friends.

I like that these little ones allow me to explore concepts quickly and without the pressure of a full-size book… like a formal thumbnail sketch.

During Thanksgiving, I did my first run of letterpressed cards using my own press!

my NEW JOB!

Since about the beginning of October, I have been job searching, and I was starting to get a little worried and antsy. Let me tell you though- God answers the prayers of poor starving artists. In December I started working for the UVU Global Engagement Office and I LOVE IT. My job is an administrative role, but a large part of it is designing the monthly newsletter, so I’ve turned it into a design / illustration job. Here are a few spreads from my first Newsletter.

A definite highlight of December was this beautiful, small christmas party thrown by my friends Rachel Shoeny, and Allie and Eli Kerns. I feel so lucky to have friends who make felt crowns, sing carols, and give handmade gifts.
